I read this as moste h1 extensions are being denied, and think to myself, why are we so sruprised. The body shoppers abuse the system for such a long time, they had it coming to them. But so what, people who are being affected by this are the poor consultants themselves, who put all their trust in these body shoppers and in some cases paid high amounts to come to US. BOdy shoppers are not being affected by this in anyways. They should be fined if the US rejects an H1 for illegal hire. I just hope that consultants are given enough time to apply at other places.

I was lucky and I knew what the law stated about my criminal record. Generic sof LUDon all cases 06/06/08- I donot think, EAD paper file could have reached by 06/6/08. - Not sure of why Soft LUD

I am waiting.. and few more friends none of us got receipt. our checks got cashed on last Monday.
When do you think USCIS got your papers? (I mean add two days to your lawyers' filing date), and your check got cashed on 11th?

I pledge $250 towards this fund.
i have been a active member for quite some time but i wasnt aware of the financial sacrifices IV Core team was making until I read the businessweek article. i have been contributing monthly recurring payments and one time contributions as and when necessary.
Thanks to whoever started this topic to refund some of the expenses core team has met. Thanks to IV core team for their unselfish acts and sacrifices.
i shall see if i can contribute more in the near future to this fund.

I just got an email (not magic though) about EAD renewal approval. It was paper filed on 14th June. Not sure if it is for 2 yrs or 1 yr with my priority date current.;)

DHS secy was saying they will be tough on H1 ..maybe they are tough on GC's too ..another point what if they are trying to waste the visas on purpose (to tighten immigration) ..and hence we need to send letters to media and congress. Media is a must !!

Folks who opened an SR and had NSC-CSC-NSC transfers, what is the format of the ref # the Cust Service Rep gave you??
I got a # of the format T1NXXXXXXXXXXXCSC format.
I also got this format. but response, came from NSC after 30 days of filing SR.
I had called in the middle to confirm whether SR went to CSC. Rep said requests will get to apprpriate service center.
the other problem is for people like us, the status says " case traansferred and pending at uscis office". I find that reps find it hard to figure out where it is pending. because of wac number, they sometimes conclude it is CSC.
the status on phone says "pending at lincoln".

I dont *****ing care if they are under pressure... they still have to follow the guideliens.... just an analogy... just because ur under pressure to reach work on time... doesnt give you the liberty to speed... u still have to follow the speed limits... whatever.... i am just damn frustrated with this whole mess

Per my attorney - If the I140 approval came from TSC, you can send your AOS to TSC directly. Hope this helps.
I really don't understand these Attorneys. Its clearly mentioned on 485 form that ALL 485 petitions should go to NSC. period.
And as far as I know, due to awareness and the fact we all are professionals who can go to USCIS site and read the instructions in black and white, we should not just rely on this morons (attorneys.. though there are some good ones around)

Lets file a lawsuit to get the info in a manner we need:
1) breakdown of processing dates in a manner that co relates to visa bulletin.
i.e.: tell us how many petitions by per country are pending/processed and processing dates by country and category. Atleast USCIS is answerable to visa bulletin.
2) Visa usage by category reporting each month
(How many petitions were approved are pending by visa category and by country) (here I mean just I140 and I485). Adjust the numbers if there are denials.
This will atleast help everyone predict whats going to happen in recent months. One of the heartburns we have is no information comes out of USCIS and we are held hostage to what oppenheim says or Aytes says or Sheela Murthy says. This is public information so lets try and get it public every month.

Still haven't got mine yet. Attorney suggested another 2 more weeks. Doesn't sound like many (if ANY) have got their receipts yet. The only thing I've seen is that people who paid personally have seen their receipt numbers on cashed check images. This doesn't apply to those who didn't pay personally though.

I have mailed my I-485/EAD/I-131 on July 26th and same were received at NSC on July 27th. I did get the receipt numbers for all the same yesterday. The receipt date is Aug 27th, 2007. I did have an TSC I140.
