Wait till next week-end. My 140 mailed to NSC on 11th April (why?? not sure) and received RN from texas. ND was dated 19th April. RD was 13th April.
Now # of applications are more so it can take more time but your RD will be maintained.

But the issue is they changed something last month (I need to search on that) and according to which 485 will be processed in two places NSC or TSC based on their I140 approval. As you know they keep changing the rule every month, it really hard to track all of these things.

My I-485, I-140 and I-765 for my wife reached Nebraska on August 17th, exactly the last day, because I was in my home country and came back on August 15th.
Obviuosly, no receipt# yet.....I think I will wait a couple of months to get it.
Could anyone, please, tell me how much you paid for 2x I-485, I-140 and I-765 for my wife. Is the correct fee: 1165$ ?

Great news: IV core is supporting the flower campaign - see this thread (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6191). :)
We have until tonight to place in the orders so that the flowers can be delivered on Tuesday.
Everyone who kept the faith - thanks and lets continue sending emails or calling people to let them know about it.
People who said that they will send the flowers only if IV core supports it - please send flowers asap.
BTW, I am curious as to who first proposed this idea.

A question about CIR. Currently isin't it more beneficial for anti-immigrants to just ensure that absolutely NOTHING is done to CIR? That way the Senate version of CIR never sees the light of day, but since it doesnt die either, no other legislation can come into place.
I guess my question is, how & when exactly does CIR "die"/get phased out of the picture so that other legislations may be considered?

I git the I-485 Approval mail on 8/4/08 - but I have not recd any CPO mail or welcome PR mail - nor have I recd the notices in the mail -should Itake Infopass appt ?

However, a substantial discrepancy between the previous and the new wage may be taken into consideration as a factor in determining if the new employment is “same or similar.”
Pls note that with current recession/depression, the "prevailing wages" for same/similar occupations have gone down--drastically in some cases (esp. IT). Also, you could open/register your LLC (by spending $400) for your self-employment to sound more "legitimate"--but that's certainly not a requirement.

However, they should be in a position to show documentary evidence that they are making similar money as per 140, and importantly they are doing same kind of work when self employed, and they have a long term commitment/contract for their bussiness. Then only they may belief that you are doing legitimate bussiness thro self employment. Just writing EVL in a letter head will not serve the purpose.

Im really not sure if this helps EB3 cases. for example in my case i have a bachelors degree + 10 years expereince and stuck in EB3. I dont think this will help me because I dont have an US degree.
